Blaydon based Newcastle Kitchen and Bedroom Company (NKBCO) has grown from a small workshop established in 1996 into a beautifully unique showroom. With inspirational room settings showcasing the true meaning of bespoke, kitchens, bedrooms, dressing rooms, home office/studies, media furniture and hand-crafted furniture.
We worked with the team at NKBCO to integrate their new modern brand into a website that reflected the company identity. The previous website was outdated, difficult to use and not fully responsive. The purpose of the new website was to create an experience that showcased the high level of work NKBCO were producing. Attracting new and repeat customers with a combination of demonstrating creditability through easy navigation, minimal design and photography.
We made data driven decisions, opting for a mobile first design based on 67% of the previous sites traffic being from mobile devices. The site also needed to align with the current marketing activity, leading us to build an infinite style scroll into the project pages. The backend of the site was built to the client specification due to the large amount of projects that would be uploaded on a regular basis.
We launched the site to positive feedback from NKBCO and their customers. Over the first 6 months after launch, the site experienced a 147% increase in daily users compared to the previous 6 months and has continued to increase in users and conversions.
